Musgrove Ends Process, Chooses
The Ivy League
"The Ivy League has been a dream of mine for as long as I could remember. Brown has been recruiting me since the 9th grade, so when I was at an AAU tournament in Rhode Island 3 years ago." My dad said, "Let's go check out Brown." From the very first moment I stepped onto campus at the age of 13, I knew this was a place I wanted to be."
the time the July observation period rolled around
Musgrove had already received over a dozen D1 offers. By
the August 1st NCAA contact period, she had to navigate
through over 3 dozen official Division 1 offers from all
over the country.
Musgrove says she has been lucky to have had such a great support system surrounding her. She gives credit to the dedication of her LI Lightning team and coaches, Coach Lawniczak and Coach Zito for helping her become the player she is today." Coach Jon and Coach Pete are the greatest. I love them and my teammates, we were and will continue to be a family forever. We are all best friends and always will be." She also credits her St. Anthony's coach, Ken Parham for his dedication and for taking her high school team to the next level." Coach Parham brings us everywhere to play the best teams he can find, I love the challenge and what he brings to St. Anthony's."
"The single most important person throughout my life has been my Dad. He's been my coach, my taxi driver, my advisor, my secretary, my best friend and my biggest fan. He always told me to go with my heart and that advice has led me to Brown."
Musgrove closes out a stellar high school career as a senior looking to win a third straight Catholic High School Championship for the Friars.
Coach Parham states, "The recruiting process can be very tricky and I'm just happy she and her family found a great fit, she has worked extremely hard and deserved to reach her goal of attending an Ivy League school. Brown is getting a tireless worker, a great competitor and a great kid. I think both parties are going to be very happy."
